This Privacy Policy explains how The Garage Pilates ("The Garage Pilates," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you visit thegaragepilates.com (the "Site"), book classes or buy memberships and packages through our booking platform, Mariana Tek, take a class at our studio, sign up for our text messages or emails, or otherwise communicate with us (together, the "Services"). "You" means anyone whose information we collect under this policy, including clients, prospective clients, and Site visitors.

Please read this policy carefully. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised policy on the Site and update the "Last updated" date above. If a change is significant, we will take any additional steps the law requires, such as notifying you directly.

Information We Collect

Account and booking information: your profile, login details, class reservations, waitlists, attendance and check-ins, memberships, packages, and gift cards.
Payment information: billing details and payment confirmations. Card numbers are collected and stored by our payment processor, not by us.
Health and wellness information: details you choose to share, such as injuries, pregnancy or postnatal status, medical conditions, or other limitations, including on intake forms and liability waivers, or directly with instructors, so we can keep your sessions safe.
Marketing preferences: whether you have opted in to or out of our texts and emails, and the phone number or email you gave us when you signed up.
Communications: messages, reviews, survey answers, and anything else you send us by email, text, social media, or through the Site.

Some features require certain information. You can choose not to provide it, but you may not be able to book classes or use those features.

When you use the Site or booking pages, we and our service providers automatically collect usage data using cookies, pixels, and similar technologies ("Cookies"). Mariana Tek, the platform that runs our class booking, memberships, and payments, which shares your account, booking, purchase, and attendance records with us.

Providing classes and services. To create and manage your account, process bookings, memberships, packages, and payments, handle cancellations, late-cancels, and refunds, check you in, and send confirmations, reminders, waitlist updates, and other account notices.
Keeping you safe. To tailor instruction and modifications to your injuries or limitations, and to maintain waivers and safety records. We use health information you share only for this purpose and for the legal purposes described below, and we do not use it for advertising.
Marketing and promotions. To send you news, class and schedule announcements, offers, and events by email and, if you have opted in, by text message, and to show you ads for our Services. See the sections on text messages, email, and advertising below.
Customer support and communication. To answer your questions, respond to feedback, and improve our classes, Site, and client experience.
Security and fraud prevention. To detect, investigate, and act on suspected fraudulent, illegal, or abusive activity. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe. Please do not share them, and contact us right away if you think your account has been compromised.

Text Messages (SMS/MMS)

We send text messages only to people who have agreed to receive them, and you can stop them at any time by replying STOP.

What we send. Depending on what you sign up for, texts may include class and appointment reminders, booking and waitlist updates, account notices, and promotional messages such as offers, new class announcements, and events.
How you opt in. You consent to promotional texts by providing your mobile number and checking the opt-in box or otherwise agreeing on our Site, in our booking platform, or at the studio, or by texting a keyword we publish. Consent to promotional texts is not a condition of buying anything or taking a class.

Carriers. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your mobile information is not shared for marketing. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or text message opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share this information only with service providers that help us send messages on our behalf, such as our text messaging platform and Mariana Tek, and they may use it only to provide those services to us.

Email Marketing

You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any message, or by contacting us. We send marketing emails to clients and to people who have signed up on our Site or at the studio. We may track whether you open or click our emails so we can see which content is useful. Even if you unsubscribe from marketing, we will still send essential emails about your account, bookings, purchases, and policy changes.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We and our service providers use Cookies to keep the Site and booking pages working, remember your preferences, measure how the Services are used, and support our advertising. Some Cookies are set by third parties, such as Mariana Tek, analytics providers, and advertising platforms, which may use them under their own privacy policies.

Mariana Tek. We use Mariana Tek to run class booking, memberships, packages, payments, and client accounts. Information you enter in our booking pages is collected by Mariana Tek on our behalf and is also handled under Mariana Tek's own terms and privacy policy.
Service providers. Companies that help us operate, such as payment processors, text and email platforms, website hosting and analytics, customer support tools, waiver and form tools, and IT and cloud storage providers. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
Advertising and marketing partners. Platforms that help us measure and deliver ads for our Services. See the next section.
At your direction. When you ask us to share information or consent to it.
Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, or bankruptcy.

Children

Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it. Clients under 18 may need a parent or guardian to complete bookings and waivers.

User Content

If you post a review or other content in a public area of the Services or on our social media pages, it may be visible to anyone. We do not control who sees it and are not responsible for how others use it.
